Hakuna Matata, meaning “No worries” is what you will feel like if you arrive at this guesthouse and bed and breakfast in Koffiefontein, South Africa. You’ll find Hakuna Matata at the turn-off to the De Beers mine.

sKoffiefontein may not be the biggest town you will ever visit, but it is an area with a rich history. Not only was Koffiefontein the place where some notable figures from Afrikaner history was interned before the Second World War (including BJ Vorster, who later become Prime Minister), but it was also the home of one of the great authors of Afrikaans literature, Etienne le Roux. You will still find his farm, “Ja-Nee”, a short distance from Koffiefontein.

Koffiefontein also has diamond mines (De Beers) – you will have a lot of exploring to do and Hakuna Matata is the perfect stayover point. They offer friendly, special service and their rooms are very private. You will almost think you are staying in a boutique hotel in Koffiefontein, South Africa.

The rooms at Hakuna Matata are all en suite and equipped with heaters, fans and fridge. The undercover parking area is something quite unique: Hakuna Matata must be the only guesthouse where precon walls surround the parking space.
